Happy Halloween! Here’s your roundup of Halloween activities for Thunder Bay families, ranging from sweet to spooky.

October 20

 

Pumpkin Painting, Vanderwees

Paint your own one-of-a-kind mini-pumpkin. 11am-3pm, free while supplies last.

Family Halloween Dance Party, North McIntyre Rec Centre

Games, music, dancing, a costume contest, concessions and more! 5-8:30pm, admission $3.

October 26-30

 

Various Halloween events, Thunder Bay Public Library

October 26 at 2:30pm: The Old Black Witch puppet show at Mary J. L. Black. At Brodie starting at 2:30pm, there’s a showing of Paranorman.

October 27 at 10:30 am: Halloween storytime, sock puppet craft and snacks, ages 5+ at County Park. At Waverley starting at 2:30pm, there’s a viewing of Monsters vs Aliens and making a craft.

October 30 at 10:30am: Halloween drop-in activities at Brodie.

October 27

 

Ghosts & Goblins in the Garden, Centennial Conservatory

Come in costume to the Centennial Boo-tanical Conservatory for a scavenger hunt, hot apple cider, baking and more. 1:30-3:30, free.

Kids Halloween Party, The Finlandia

Kids up to age 11 are invited to come dance, snack and craft at this event. 1-4pm, admission $5 per child, adults accompanying child are free.

Children’s Halloween Party, West Arthur Community Centre

Open to kids up to age 10, this is an afternoon of costumes, games, crafts, music and dancing. 1-3pm, entry by donation, concessions for sale.

October 28

 

Pints & Pumpkins, Sleeping Giant Brewing Company

SGBC is hosting a family-friendly Halloween party including a pumpkin decorating station and a caramel apple station. 12:30-2:30pm and 3-5pm, $25 for adult ticket (includes a pumpkin, a caramel apple and a pint) and children are free accompanied by an adult.

Symphony Spooktacular, Grassroots Church

Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra playing spooky versions of Halloween songs—what a cool way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Come in costume! 3:30pm, tickets required.

October 31

 

Daytime Halloween Party, Maple Tops

Your littles can enjoy Halloween in daylight at this event, which includes lunch, snacks, a costume parade, Halloween crafts, candy toss and more. 10:30am-1:30pm, $12 admission.

Malloween, Intercity Shopping Centre

Go trick-or-treating at the mall, where participating stores will be handing out treats. 4-6pm, free.
