Bring on the pumpkins! Whether you're into Halloween or just fall in general, here's your roundup of family-friendly activities in TBay in October 2019. Click here for info about farm festivities on the weekends at Gammondale, Belluz and Vanderwees, and watch for a Halloween activities post in mid-October.

Family Fun Night, North McIntyre Rec Centre

Dress up as your favourite monster to watch Hotel Transylvania. 5:30-8pm, $3 includes admission, pizza, beverage and your own monster cupcake to decorate. RSVPs requested.

Healthy Neighbourhood Harvest, various locations

Games, activities, prizes, healthy food and community togetherness is on the menu at these community events hosted by the Health Unit and Earthcare Thunder Bay. Saturday’s event is at County Park, Sunday is at Franklin Park.  1-4pm, free.

Halloween Haunt, Sleeping Giant Provincial Park

Make it a weekend getaway or a day trip, and choose from family activities like a “creatures of the night” guided hike, campsite decorating and trick-or-treating, and pumpkin carving. Activities are free, regular use fees apply.

Thunder Bay Celebrity Hockey Classic, Tournament Centre

Wendell Clark, Taylor Pyatt and Rick Vaive are only a few of the NHL alumni playing three games against local players in support of Easter Seals. Game times TBD, admission required.

38th Birthday Pool Party/Customer Appreciation Day, Canada Games Complex

After hosting a zillion bday parties over the years, the Complex is hosting one for itself, with kids’ activities, games, food, prizes and mini lessons. 1-4pm, $2 admission.

Children’s Halloween Party, West Arthur Community Centre

Kids 10 and under are invited to a Halloween party: come in costume and enjoy some games and prizes. 1-3:30pm, $5 admission.

Ghosts & Goblins at the Conservatory, Centennial Botanical Conservatory

Give your Halloween a tropical spin with an all-ages party at the Conservatory. There will be a scavenger hunt as well as baking and hot apple cider. 1:30-3:30, free.

Spooktacular, Grassroots Church

This fun concert is part of the family series by the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. Come in costume and hear your favourite spooky music live. 3:30-4:30pm, tickets required.

At this family-friendly Halloween party you can decorate a pumpkin and check out the caramel apple bar. Two sessions: 12:30-2:30pm and 3-5pm, tickets required. $25 admission for adults and kids are free.
