The Great Benjamins Circus, Intercity Shopping Centre

Head to the blue and yellow big top for a family circus—clowns, contortionists, jugglers, aerialists and more. October 4 and 5, 4:30 pm and 7pm, October 6, 1pm and 3pm, admission required.

Neebing Fireworks Display, Neebing Municipal Office

Fireworks for Thanksgiving weekend? Why not! Bring your chairs and your cozy clothes for a pro display out in the country. 9pm, free. Rain date October 7

Kamview Fall Colours Tour, Kamview Nordic Centre

Family hike time! Check out some vivid fall colours and an incredible view of the Nor’Westers and the Slate River Valley from the top of the Lookout Trail. 11am-3pm, free tours available.

Escape the Upside Down, Waverley Library

Children’s Halloween Party, West Arthur Community Centre

Kids up to age 10 are invited for an afternoon of costumes, games, crafts, music and dancing. 1-3pm, entry by donation, concessions for sale.

ThunderCon 2018, Valhalla Inn

Calling all geeks, big and small! ThunderCon offers kids’ activities as well as vendors in Diagon Alley, video, board and card game demos, a cosplay contest, performances and a scavenger hunt. Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 10am-5pm, tickets required.

Thunder on Rails, West Thunder Community Centre

Take your train-loving littles to see some pretty cool teeny model trails. Saturday, 10am-5pm and Sunday, 10am-4pm, adults $2 and kids under 12 free.

Pints & Pumpkins, Sleeping Giant Brewing Company

SGBC is hosting a family-friendly Halloween party including a pumpkin decorating station and a caramel apple station. 12:30-2:30pm and 3-5pm, $25 for adult ticket (includes a pumpkin, a caramel apple and a pint) and children are free accompanied by an adult.

Symphony Spooktacular, Grassroots Church

Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra playing spooky versions of Halloween songs—what a chillaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Come in costume! 3:30pm, tickets required.
